I had to change plans to do the DIY idea Thursday in the morning. And write the post after I get back home from class. Time flies so quickly and we were on Thursday. But I thought it was Wednesday. Also, I was like "Nice, tomorrow I will have so much time to do everything" because by that time I felt free.
The next day comes, and I was excited while working on my DIY idea. And I just paused for a minute to think. About how wonderful it was to be on schedule. I found out it was Friday haha. I'm not going to lie, it was a bit of a surprise for me. As to how quick days went by and how idiot I was lol.

Also, I was mad that I missed the day. Because I was serious to follow the schedule no matter what haha. Talking about A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope. I guess you can't be serious without entertainment sometimes lol.
Talking about funny stories. I was going to say that this is my first time. Doing posts like this for Christmas. But I went through my old posts and found that I already said that before. It was only one post. Because I was trying to get involved in the trend if you know what I mean. Just looking at how much I've improved all these times makes me wonder how I was like that.

You can check them here, and here. If you want to see how I was making them. Before I get a new look and new way this time. Shall we get started? Let's go! I hope you enjoy it.
I've been doing my couple of previous posts with box sheets and papers. But this time I will get back to the old habit of only thick papers haha. I think I will make more Christmas DIY ideas with thick paper for a while. Hopefully, it will be good. That doesn't mean I won't add other objects. Because I'm sure there will be so many ideas with so many things, you know.
Also, if you missed my previous one. Which was the best one yet and the longest. If you want to read it, you can check it on the blog. I did a new way of writing my posts for the DIY stuff. And I'm going to do it here as well. I will be showing all the items I will use for this project and start getting things together.
For this envelope and gift card. Sharing A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope. We will need two pieces of thick paper. You can use one piece of paper. And fold it into two parts or two papers. Then, put them on top of each other while cutting on a line. That will make the DIY craft as shown in the picture above, two pieces.
Thick paper and the first step of making the envelope

Which's the method I used because I needed extra paper for the card at the end. Also, I cut little of the angles because I wanted this time to make it with different shapes. And not only a square.
Paper ropes
Next, I did this in my previous post which I kinda call "The paper ropes". And it's made of normal A4 paper because they are easy to fold. Well, I made it for this DY idea. A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope. It's optional which kind of paper. It depends on which look it will be designed.
Also, the measures are based on what they will be used for. And what you want it to look like. I'm not sure if you can adjust the regular rope to your satisfaction. But with this paper rope, you can haha, a good thing about it.
I just took a picture of only two because there are two others with the same measures. But I thought it would be enough for those to help demonstrate the requirements. The rest of them will appear in the last step. When sharing more about this DIY idea. A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope.
You may wonder what is that shown in the picture above? The answer is going to be this is my new "paper wrap" made for gifts. I'm not sure if this could be found on the internet. But I made it myself because there is no gift without a wrap. You know what I mean haha.
I hate to brag, but I will be honest with you. It took me a couple attempts... To fold it like that, haha. Because it wasn't easy to get the right shape for the envelope and how I wanted to look. Well, I had to spend more time finishing this awesome craft. A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope.
This is everything we need so far to make that possible. However, you may not see the full picture of this nice DIY idea yet. And this is ok because now. I'm going to start putting it together and add the Christmas touches to it. This idea is similar to my previous one. I had so many ideas for it. But I ended up doing some of the things. That I planned before doing the process.
If you want to make something for any holiday. A part of it should represent it. Like the Christmas tree in the picture shown above. I could've added more than just a tree. However, for now, this will be enough. Also, I did the Christmas tree only on the front side. Because I don't think it will be necessary for the backside. Unless there will be any other ideas to be added to it.

Christmas tree on the first side
If you want to make something for any holiday. A part of it should represent it. Like the Christmas tree in the picture shown above. I could've added more than just a tree. However, for now, this will be enough. Also, I did the Christmas tree only on the front side. Because I don't think it will be necessary for the backside. Unless there will be any other ideas to be added to it.
I don't need to put anything. Also, as you can see on the side of the front. There are small lines I drew. I will leave them until the end. Because that's how I will make the envelope look cool and connect haha.
The right side of it, was a bit messy because I thought to make four lines. But instead, I did two lines on each side after I messed that up a little lol. That's will only what I'm going to use the ropes if you wonder what is it about.
The final look before I add more touches and Christmas vibes to the envelope. As you can see in the picture above. This is how it is going to be looking after deep thinking and trying. A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope. I'm glad I didn't mess it up so bad. Otherwise, it would've been a struggle to do everything again from the start. It kinda took me a little bit to do the tree. As good as it is shown in the picture and still, not very good.
Alrighty, guys, I'm going to present to you the changes to everything I've shared above. A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope. And add the Christmas vibes silently. Let you enjoy watching the changes as if it was a video while you scroll down. You know haha. I will be back when everything is done for this DIY craft. We can continue and put everything together, I hope you enjoy it.
Welcome back, that wasn't too long. It was nice to demonstrate the changes in different ways haha. The last one is called the "Red wrap" for the Christmas gift card envelope. That would be the final name after everything. Also, the tree kinda comes nicely but is not as perfect as I wanted.
It's not another time because I didn't forget to take photos for the next final step. Which gluing things together. However, how about just showing the final look in a finger snap. And that would be it.

Here we go! I present to you the final look of it. I like how the colors turn out to be so good. Make a pretty look for the Christmas gift card envelope. And I wanted to make a custom card for this to finish it off. Well, I think it will be enough to have a regular card. Since we did good work on the envelope.
So, I just cut thick paper to make it match the envelope's height. But a little more showing from the top. And colored it blue for more touches. That would be ready to use if you want to send someone you love a gift card for Christmas. A DIY Christmas gift card with a custom envelope, who wouldn't love that.
