How to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book

Well, one of the common problems most writers. And that includes bloggers is that have the motivation to write. I'm talking about being part of the community. Sometimes I struggle to start writing something. That's not because I'm a bad blogger. But sometimes you will need to know how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book.

Every writer has their own system to write. Dedicated people who really love writing also work on this. No matter what, if you don't work on it. Then, it will be a difficult task to do. Therefore, make sure to follow these how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book. Things that helped and it will help you. At least a few of them, if not all, will help.

I mentioned the book in the title because even for book writers. These will help no matter what type of writer. However, the way and process will be different. You will need to find whatever way and steps you take. And for the bloggers, the steps, and ways are different.

You might ask yourself why I need to motivate myself. Writing is a freelancer, and no one asks to do anything unless you are writing or some. That's going to be a key to keeping you motivated. Because you are working for some. However, when you are working for yourself. Now, that's the difficult part and where we need to keep ourselves motivated.

1. Make writing enjoyable for you

The first one I highly recommend you do is make the writing enjoyable. You want to make it something that feels fun to do. This way, any time to think of writing something, it wouldn't be heavy. And you would love to do it That is one of the ways how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book.

Well, this will be different from one to another. Whatever suits you and makes you enjoy writing, you can do it. Whether a place, music, or even a drink with writing. These are some of the things, but it's unlimited. A lot of ways to make writing enjoyable.

Sometimes a way of writing can also make it enjoyable for you. Make sure when you write, you feel the joy of it. It could be writing to your favorite person or about something in your life. Also, it could be sharing your favorite moment in the text.

So, this is something you need to figure out. Depending on what you really write. If you love to write and don't know what to write about. Well, try writing about things you love. Don't make it a horrible experience for you. Because that will be a reason for you to hate writing. When it's something that helps you to feel better in some way.

Change your thoughts on writing. That is another way to make it enjoyable. Don't think of it as a chore or a heavy task to do. Making it a responsibility also will not help. Even though it's something you should do, it's something you do because you love it.

2. Set writing challenges/goals for you to achieve

Another good way to help you stay motivated. And also make it fun for you. That is, setting writing challenges and goals for you to achieve. There are a lot of people who are lazy to do this. Well, it's because this is a habit you need to develop. It will take time to make it a habit.

When it becomes a habit, it will be easy for you to set goals and achieve them. That will help you to make it more interesting. Having challenges and goals in a lot of things can be fun. At the same time, it will be a way to finish writing as well.

Make sure to write them down this way you can remember them. Go back to them and track which one you have done. If you keep doing it in your head, it will be gone in the next few hours. Because there are a lot of things in your life. Therefore, that will make it difficult for you to remember all the goals and challenges.

If you have a lot of things to do in your day. You can put in short goals and challenges. This can be another way how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book. Finishing things little by little is better than not doing anything. Especially when you are a very busy person.

3. Attach a good "why" to your writing of the book or blog post

Next, on how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book. Make sure that you attach a "Why" to your writing. Something that will make you wake so early in the morning for it. Sometimes you can't write because there is no good or enough reason. Even if you think it's a good reason but it won't be real enough if you can't get yourself to write.

Bloggers usually do it because they want to keep their blog up. Provide more content to the audience. And some people write for a living, which is a strong incentive to keep writing. However, if you write for no reason. You won't keep doing it for a long time. So, if you want to motivate yourself to write, remember why you writing and keep reminding yourself all the time.

I would say, this is the last thing you worry about. Because you are not going to fight to write unless you have a good reason. So, just remind yourself about it. And make sure it's something enough to push and write more. However, with the help of the rest of these tips. It will get better for you, how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book.

Writing books can be a little difficult if you are not determined. But having challenges and goals can give a good reason. However, you will need the overall reason why you want to write. What makes you love writing? I have another thing that is coming after this that is very important as well.

4. Develop a passion for writing

If you write for someone or you write for yourself. One of the important things a writer should have is passion. Just like anything in life, you need to develop it to keep writing. Sometimes you will go through a difficult time. And if you are not passionate enough, that writing spirit will fade away.

Assuming that you want to write, but you feel it's difficult for you to get yourself to write. One reason can be that you are not passionate enough. This is something that will help through any situation. Whether it's difficult, boring, or even complicated. You will make your way to finishing your writing if you have a passion.

This is one of the things that takes a lot of time. You will need to keep learning how to motivate yourself to write a blog post or a book. It's ok to take all the time you want to develop a passion. Do whatever it takes to help you achieve that.

Most of the writers who write for themselves, I would assume that is because they love writing. And that's followed by passion. Because a passionate person has very strong feelings about something or a strong belief in something.

5. Good and clean environment to write

Last but not least, something I personally think helps a lot with writing. And I don't share any personal thoughts unless it's with experience. This is one of them and I say that because I felt it. Having a good and clean environment is the best way to write. Sometimes dirty places can make us feel unmotivated to do anything and not just write.

This is not a source of motivation, but it's a big factor. You might lose interest in writing when it's not a good place. That's how bad writing is in an awful environment. Whether it's dirty or organized. Maybe it has a bad smell. It's one of the worse things that I hate in my life.

Before I write, I always make sure to clean my office. Make things well organized and open the window for fresh air. This way, it can be fun for me to write. And don't struggle while I'm doing it because it would be my worse time ever. That will lead me to hate the write when I write something.
