1-The perfect timing
What I notice is that people do a lot of marketing but they don’t know about the very important thing about it. Which is the perfect time. One of the great marketing tips for small business bloggers is to find the perfect time to promote or proceed with your marketing plan.
The timing depends on when most of your audience will be online on the platform you promote. Whether is Twitter or Pinterest, there is a time when other users browse it and look for stuff. They could find yours among the things they look for. However, if you post it at a time when the audience is busy or offline. Then, you will get less interaction from them, and that affects your marketing plan progress.
Note: Every platform has different times. So make sure to understand the timing when people use each one. Maybe you find a high chance of people using two platforms a lot at the same time and that is ok. So it’s important to mention it in this “great marketing tips for small business” post.
Most people would be on during break time or when they are not working. So Look for the perfect time for you and your audience. And make sure to be present when they are browsing and not busy being at work haha. I learned this late and I’m still working on it.
I still trying to find the perfect time by the way that works for me and my marketing plan. It might take you a while but keep trying and trying until you find it. Once you do, you will see how traffic spikes go up, and everything will be worth it in the end. That’s why I added it to the great marketing tips for small business bloggers.
Tips on how to find the perfect timing
You can look on the internet to find what is the best time for posting. However, there will be differences because the studies can’t be for everyone. So to understand your audience, I recommend you follow these tips which are part of these “great marketing tips for small business” but for finding the perfect time.
- Posting a lot daily
- Track the stats of your posts
- Keep the consistency
These will help you to also understand the perfect time to share on your social media and understand your audience. Because even looking on the internet it might not help and you would think something wrong. It’s all about understanding the timing of when your audience browses the internet.
Keeping consistency is so important because, without it, you won’t get firm studies of what working and which time works best to share your content. Therefore, should keep it daily and also be consistent with it for a couple of weeks.
This is one of the problems that I struggled with for a while and finally, I learned how it works. Promoting stuff in the first weeks, will not be pleasant for anyone. Because you will not get any interaction from almost anyone. Or even you won’t get any followers for almost a week. That’s a possibility but you might get different results. However, most likely, you won’t get anything and you still need to follow these “great marketing tips for small business”.
Guess what? you need to stay consistent and present even if no one sees it. Because it always starts like that and then, you start to take off and grow. Also, by doing other things that support it. For example, making friends and sharing each other social media posts. Help each other grow.
This is important that you don’t expect anything in the first couple of weeks while you post consistently. Don’t worry about the followers and views while you post. You can focus on how to grow it and more on the content because it’s very important. This is why I added it to the great marketing tips for small business bloggers.
You can do it on the side for a bit until you grow up and then you will be able to get tons of interaction from your followers. It pays off when you stick to it during the downs and ups. This is how it works on the internet and everyone went through it. And these great marketing tips for small business bloggers will be good in the long run.
Sometimes it will test your patience when you doing so much work. Believe me, I’ve been through this before and it feels sucks. For example, you do a lot of work on your content and get almost no interaction at all. However, you can’t do anything but keep it going.
3-Choose the right platform for you and your audience
Coming next on the great marketing tips for small business bloggers, is you need to choose the right platform for you and your audience. As you all know that right now we have a lot of social media platforms that we browse and promote. You jump from one to another sometimes but not a lot do that, you know.
However, it’s not all platforms for everyone. Some people, don’t even know some platforms So, you need to take time to look where your audience is based on what you do or share on the internet. This way, you will have tons of traffic to your blog or website. And you will find the audience faster than sharing on a platform with less audience or not interested in your work or products.
I’m going to be honest, sharing my experience and how I learned that this is important and the reason why I want to put it on the great marketing tips for small business bloggers. At first, I wasn’t paying attention to the audience but to what I can do and it took me a lot of time struggling to find it. You don’t need to do the same. Make sure to follow this tip.
Try to explore the platforms first and check where you can find the audience for your niche. Then, you will be able to create a business account and start generating tons and tons of traffic to your blog or website. Instead, of trying with the wrong audience and wasting time in your life. It’s like one of the things that come to my mind first now and I decided to add to the great marketing tips for small business bloggers.
Ways to find the perfect platform:
- Research where most people share the content of the same niche as you
- Create an account and try to browse it
- Search your content on different platforms
I’m sure you all have seen or read about this too many times. And that’s because it’s really important to stay consistent with your work and sharing on the internet. Something I found is that it stacks up for better results later and it will make sense. You just need to stick to it and don’t stop until you are at the top of your game.
Don’t just stay consistent but make sure the way you share it is good. Because after a while, it might become a source of traffic and you didn’t know. Either it shows up on someone’s feed or someone browses your profile and shares it with his/her friends or followers. So make sure to spend some time on the post you going to share on social media.
People would try to stay consistent by scheduling and just put whatever and that is not going to drive tons of traffic to your blog. Make sure when you schedule, it will be worth it. And don’t let the effort your put into doing that for nothing. Try to make it interesting and catchy.
Even if you have like one or two followers, being consistent will help you to make your posts reach them and they can share them if it’s good or related to them. So don’t focus on just consistency but also quality as well. But, I’m sure you have more than two followers haha which will have a higher chance of getting more views and traffic.
It can be exhausting to stay consistent. And I would recommend having a plan for this. Don’t just try to post every day. Figure out something that will help you to stay consistent and don’t burn out. If you do, then, it’s over for consistency. Even though you already heard about this tip but adding to the great marketing tips for small business bloggers is a reminder for you.

As you put the work in and grind on your marketing plan. Adding this to the great marketing tips for small business bloggers is also very important. You need to track and write down the stats daily and weekly. If you want, even monthly.
I was not paying attention to this at first and let me tell you that I was missing a lot of good things from just writing down the stats. Well, one of them is that you will understand how your plan is going and if it’s not going very well. You will be able to change it to something even better.
There are several tools that you will need and make sure that you record the stats for your blog or website. I use Google Analytics for my blog. I’m curious what do you use for your blog? let me know in the comment section below. I have another one which is WordPress(aka jetpack) but I don’t trust their stats for some reason haha.
Monitoring them is also very important. This way, you will understand the progress of your marketing plan. Which helps to make a great marketing plan. Instead of sticking to one that doesn’t generate you anything and wastes your time. And now you can see why I added to these great marketing tips for small business bloggers.

You can read it here “Awesome benefits of writing down the stats for your business“. Read more about this tip and what else to learn, and why it’s one of the “great marketing tips for small business” lists.
What to write and monitor
Some people would ask what could I write down and monitor the stats that I get. Because you get a lot of stats and not all of them are important to you. So, first, you would need to understand what is important to you.
As a beginner blogger, the most important stats are your page views and bounce rate. You will understand if your marketing plan is working or not and if these great marketing tips for small business bloggers are helpful or not.
You can also track and monitor visitors and new visitors. That way, you will understand how many people visit and return and how many new visitors you get from your marketing plan. These are important and as you grow and blog more, there are more stats that you want to track.

Now that you have the right place and following most of 6 these great marketing tips. You need to build relationships with your audience. This is the best to build a strong audience base for the long term. Because as a blogger, you don’t want just a visitor who comes and go. You need people to come back and having a good relationship will help a lot.
You don’t want a person who looks at your content and be like “Oh, that person posted today”. No, it should be instead ” Oh, it’s _____, let me see what he/she posted today. This is a strong audience base. And how powerful to build a relationship with the people who follow you.
On social media, try to allow your audience to give their opinions and share ideas that might help you. When you want to add a new niche or topic, ask them about it before you post. This way, you make some friends from the audience and will give more support as well.
Keep them updated and show up every day with new updates and more useful content on social media where they follow you. For me, I have two which are Twitter and Pinterest. These days I’m trying to stay active as possible and it helps to grow up building a strong base.
Engage with them and reply to comments. Don’t just share and share. When they comment, make them feel important to you. It’s bot support to just share and gets out. They will love your communication and maybe come back when you share new posts or something new on your social media.
7- Collaborate with other people in your business field
You will take a lot of time to grow alone. So make sure to work with other bloggers if you work as a blogger. Try to contact companies and people in the same business field for collab opportunities. It doesn’t have to be every day but whenever you can. Surely you need to get back to your audience and give back to them with something good and decent. Giveaways also help a lot to grow your business or blog by getting more people to participate. However, you need to keep one only for your current audience.
It can be also a post or paragraph to appreciate their support. Knowing that you are appreciative of your audience is also can make them come back and help you more. Don’t focus too much on yourself and growth and forget about the people who help you.
Let them know that you appreciate their support every time even once you become big on the internet. Most people do it and it makes them feel good. So being a small business, don’t forget to appreciate their support because it’s always where every big business start.
