I missed doing old topics since I changed the purpose of this blog. But what if I can combine them both in one article? That would be dope. Talk about any topic that was added before and has entertainment included. Anyway, today I would like to talk about self-development and how to keep the fitness on a good level working from home.
Starting with this post which I will talk about what I usually do. If I’m planning to sit on my laptop or PC while keeping my fitness at a good level. There are a lot of people who have a job online that sits for a long time. Maybe people who are watching the Endgame or any series would also spend a lot of time. Sitting on the chair and watching.
I mean, some people like to use T.V to watch movies in their living room. I know people that use a laptop. Maybe use their desk to put a T.V to watch because I’m one of them. I had my T.V which I got for playing video games. But there can’t be only one purpose for it. I plug my laptop into it and play whatever I like, for instance, videos. However, I’m no longer doing it because my T.V broke lol.
How to keep the fitness on a good level working from home

Anyway, this time I can’t make it about bloggers and writing a blog post. Because I’ve done enough of it, but as I said, anyone with an online business. That requires a lot of hours to finish it or whatever is the goal that you want to get done.
It won’t be a problem if it was for a one-day thing. But people with this type of work who need a chair tend to do it every day. And that will be unhealthy if we don’t look out for our health.
What I do to keep my health at a good level is try not to sit for a long time. This will diminish my strength and fitness. And since I’m not yet that type of person who consistently goes to the gym. Because I still get excuses haha. But there is no problem for me to do fitness in the house. I think it saves me time and I get what I want and the purpose.
However, I’m sure one day I will turn into Super Saiyan mode. And overcome it all and start getting into good shape haha. And I mean going to the gym consistently.
As usual, I will mention the three things I do to keep my fitness and health on a good level. There is more I do and I’m sure people have other stuff they like to do. I would like to know if you are one of them or if we have any similarities with this.
For me, I don’t think it’s only about body movement. Other things can help you or break you while trying to stay fit working from home. Hopefully, I will mention helpful things to you. Would love to know what you think when you finish reading this post about how to keep fitness on a good level working from home.
1. Walking
I usually pick exercises based on what muscles or part of my part should I focus on. For me, the main thing before anything I’m looking for is to keep the blood flowing all around my body. And that’s why walking is what I first do daily.
Well, I make time for myself to walk for at least half an hour. You may think doing this in the house is not helpful. But with the large spots in the house or around it. This works just as well as doing it at the gym. Also, it helps me to do some running rounds while thinking about my next plan.
Sometimes I like to run in the street around the house. And I have talked about in a previous post. That this helps to know about other people who do it too. A treadmill might be good only if you can afford to get one in the house. But I like running around more.
However, the purpose is to get my blood running and be on a good level of fitness. Either way works well, anyway.

The funny thing is, you may not feel like doing it because of space or doing it alone. Which would never happen to me. My purpose remains stronger than the excuse in this case. I enjoy doing it because it helps me to plan what I’m going to do and everything during the session.
And when it comes to positive excuses and negative ones. I think positive would win, which I don’t have to drive anywhere because it would take more time haha.
2. Movement of my arms
After I get my blood flowing and warmed up. I tend to focus next on the fitness of my arm’s muscles, which I usually do pushups. My goal is not to build it. Though, it would be awesome to do it. Because it helps with the strength and speed of my arms and that’s the goal.
Also, my friends keep saying who can do pushups more, which makes me feel weak. Because if I won’t be able to do it, I would be the loser in the group haha.
And I do some Lateral raises sometimes, which is kinda good to train other muscles of the arm. Sometimes when there is no dumbbell, I usually do it without something that could fit as a replacement. This can be nice for arm flexibility too. Since working on an online business doesn’t require a lot of arm movements.

Moving my arms is good and having a specific part of my body to focus on is also good. Because it would give you the motivation to do it. I don’t know about but this works for me like this and I’m happy with it.
3. Movement of my legs and feet
Focusing on my feet, legs muscles, and doing workouts for it comes next. And I usually do squat without any lifting because I’m not looking to build my muscles yet. But to keep it on a good level of fitness, you know.
However, I take more time to do other exercises for my thigh and other parts as well. The good thing is that doing my foot workout. Can be done while sitting on the chair, which I can do at any time. But, I don’t do it a lot that way. When I’m really busy.
FYI
Sometimes when I’m not feeling doing any exercise. I usually just stretch after the warm-up walking or running. Which helps to keep the fitness on the same level at least. As I keep my body moving from time to time.
However, stretching doesn’t happen alone a lot of times. But I do it even when I’m doing exercises. It helps a lot doing it with exercising. But, I also don’t mind stretching if I won’t do anything with it. At least, walking or running will help to keep the body moving.
4. Drink tons of water every day
If you want to keep your health and fit at a good level. One thing you should do is to keep drinking tons of water every day. Being fit requires you to stay hydrated and that would be only if you drink enough water every day.
It’s very important for a lot of things. And one of them is to keep your fitness at a good level while working at home. So, don’t forget to keep yourself hydrated all the time. Working from home will require a lot of water.
For me, I would calculate how much I drink water by cups. This way, I know how much I drank per day. But whatever way you use make sure drink enough water every day. And I’m sure can be different about how you calculate the amount of water.
You will find that your skin also needs water and many things in your body. Therefore, it’s important to focus on how much you drink. That’s how important the body is and not just staying at a good fitness level.
Some people are not even used to drinking water and for that, we might need to work on it. It should be like a habit that you can do every day. And something it’s not difficult for you to maintain throughout the week.
There will be days that you forget to keep your body hydrated a lot, and that’s ok. As long as you are working on building this habit, it’s okay to miss some days.
5. Control what you eat
Now, you might try to be fit. However, to keep it at a good level. You will need to control what you eat. This way, you will make sure you eat healthy food. Because there will be some food which ruins your progress and that’s not something we want.
How much you take and what things you should eat? It’s very important to control and limit things that will harm your fitness. And add more to eat good food that will help you to keep your fitness at a good level.
For me, I was a bit stupid and didn’t calculate, and wasn’t in control of what I eat. Then, I got a bit belly, but I worked my way to remove it. Also, it forced me to start working out even and trying to remove the belly.
It’s the best way to be in control when you have meals and a daily routine of what to eat. Meals every day would really help a lot. You can adjust the meals the way you want and the way that is healthy for you. With this, you don’t have to worry about the meals.
Being in control of what you eat is generally good because you will know more about the food you put inside your belly. But, it’s great for when you want to stay in a good and healthy shape. Therefore, I highly recommend that you put together all the meals and snacks that you would eat every day.
No matter how much you work out if you don’t control what you eat. It will ruin your progress. And all your work will be for nothing. So, start to understand everything that goes in your belly. Either you work on getting fit or just living normally, but want to be healthy.
6. Set daily routine
Last but not least, you will need to start a routine for a lot of things in your life. This way, you will need to stay organized. And it will help you to stay organized and keep your health at a good level. You will be able to set a schedule for other things.
Trust me, it will give you more space in your day to not just read but also video games or do whatever you want besides the thing you stream. This will help you a lot to organize your day and enjoy other things as well.
There are a lot of things that you need to schedule or do routinely. Because there are a lot of things and spend a few times to schedule. But, the more you will manage to schedule, the less you will need to spend in Thailand.
Routines can be for your sleep, workout, and so many things in your day. From the start to the end of your day. This way, nothing will bother you when you start working. Whatever routine you set, you need to stick to that routine.
Sometimes you will get other things to distract you, but you will be clear about your goals. That would be to stick with the routine and try to stay at a good fitness level while working at home. Otherwise, you will struggle to do if you are not clear with your goals.
Extra tip
You can write all the routines down. This way, you can adjust and change everything if it’s not working. It will help you to set the perfect routine for you and your health. Also, a good reminder of what is your routine in case you get busy with a lot of things.
That’s what I like to do nowadays. Because if I don’t write them down, I feel lost for the number of things I have in my mind. And I feel in control of my routines and what to do every day. So, I write everything for me to help me with everything.

For me, if I sit for a long time, I will dance to a tune or do some yoga. I also close my eyes if I been staring at the computer for a long time.
I make sure I never sit for longer than an hour at a time when I'm working and I get up and either walk around the house or if I don't want conversation I do some yoga – if only a couple of sun salutations to get my back stretched out. I also look at the horizon out of the window for few minutes to rest my eyes before I return to the computer 🙂

When your focus is stronger than excuses, you find a way to make fitness a routine. Stay healthy and fit!
My husband and I recently built a few shelves to make our desks into standing desks so we aren't sitting all day. We both do a quick workout (pushups, crunches, squats, lunges, free weights) before taking a shower. Also, my oldest who is in kindergarten likes to ride bikes to school so we do that together most days.
You are so right, it's critical to make sure to stay active when you are largely working a desk job. I use the reminders on my Fitbit to get up and move around every hour, and being a mama to two young kids also keeps me pretty busy – lugging baskets of clean laundry up 2 flights of stairs always gets my heart pumping!

This is definitely something I struggle with, especially when working at home. I don't move enough and it's not always easy remembering too.

I think it is really important to get up every day and commit time to moving around. It is not just for our physical but also for our overall health.
I do almost everything ta=hat you have listed here but looks like I have hit a plateau. May be I need to change up the diet a bit.

I started with 20-minute HIIT workouts when the lockdown began, with very little results, because…as you said…there must be discipline in our food intake. However, I shifted to 40-45 minute Zumba. Surprisingly, in 2 weeks, i lost 4 kgs which is probably the water weight I’ve had, but it seems to have stuck there, hahaha! I need to figure out how to get past this.

Great tips. One thing I like to do is have little snack exercise sessions. So often when I have a loo break I will do some push ups, squats or sit ups and that really helps to keep you mobile and fit.

Walking was my regular excercise before pandemic. Now the lifestyle has changed. Trying back to get normal . Whenever I sit for a long time, after I get up I walk around my home 3-4 times, sip some water. Trying to get healthy and fit . Great post 👍

I have a stationary bike at home where I can exercise and work at the same time. That is one of the things that makes me fit. Drinking water and controlling my intakes are another important part of my healthy lifestyle.
