Hello, everyone, and welcome to another post in a new week. Well, I’m back again but this time I’m going to talk about a good blogging tips post. I think this also could work with other people as well and not just blogging. The closest to blogging could be YouTubers because we have similar tasks to do. However, how to do it is going to be for almost everyone. This is how to prioritize your daily tasks as a blogger.
I’m going to share some tasks for bloggers that could start with and why we bloggers need to start with them. After I share how to prioritize your daily tasks. So tuned and continue reading to know more about them. If you find it helpful, please share it with a friend and comment your feedback on it.
This idea was decided by me and the reason behind this is sometimes I really get confused about what to do in my day. As a blog owner and some of you already a business owners on their own. It becomes hard to decide the daily tasks and what to do. Also, there was a tweet talking about it. Sometimes feeling lost and don’t know what to do. If you have been through this, this post will help you.
How to prioritize your daily tasks as a blogger

When it comes to blogging or any online or real job. There are tons of tasks to do. Things you need to do and we all can agree, that we don’t have enough time to do them all in one day. However, we can do something about it. This is why I want to talk about how to prioritize your daily tasks.
Maybe you don’t have to do them all in one day. But each day, you can do a certain amount of tasks. How to prioritize your daily tasks and make sure to do the right task of all the ones on the agenda. This way, you don’t have to stress about it anymore.
If you don’t know how to organize the tasks. I’m going to share some of the tasks below and by how important It is to bloggers. Hopefully, it will help you to start. This post will be two parts haha. How to and some important tasks for bloggers and why.
I’m not trying to claim that I’m the best blogger. I’m still a normal blogger who do mistakes and learns too. however, I’m sharing these from experience. Just in case, if you wonder why and how I’m talking about these tips and daily tasks. Things I also do that are important as a blogger.
What to look for when orgnaizing tasks:
1-How important is the task
First, before you decide to do it. Take a little bit to study and see how important the task to you and your work. If you ask how to determine that, I would say how effectively will help you and your work. You don’t need to spend time on something that doesn’t help a lot.
Maybe it can be important, but remember there are even more important tasks to do daily because we have only 24h. It would difficult to do them all. Make sure it helps you and your work. Not just work or just you. I’m going to talk more about it in a bit. So keep reading!
2-What you will get from the task
When doing a task, you spend time and effort on it. So knowing what you get after doing it. Make sure the results are worth it. So you don’t need to waste more time on things that don’t help or have better results for your work or whatever you do the task for.
This could be a factor in how important the task could be. The better, the more important to you and your work. Take some time before doing anything to learn more about the tasks and why you are doing them. As always, the why of everything is very important. It will help you on how to prioritize your daily tasks as a blogger or any other job.
3-The duration of the task
After you determine the task and how important is it. You will find yourself having two or more important tasks. However, you can’t do them all in one day. So once you have them, now look for which one is short and which one will take more time.
Now you can plan the long one to do little by little which I really recommend doing it. You don’t have to spend all the time on it unless it’s the only one you have left or it’s very urgent. Then, You will need to finish it. Other than that, you can start with the short time task and then finish the long one little by little. This way, you have time for everything.
These are some things to help you prioritize your daily tasks. Remember, there are weekly tasks and monthly tasks which are different. Tend to be very long as well which takes time to finish. Daily tasks should the ones keeping your marketing plan going. This is very important because time is limited and you need to know how to prioritize your daily tasks.
List of tasks for bloggers based on how important
If you are a blogger like me. Here is a list of things that you should look at first and do. These are important because it’s what you need to be successful in this industry. So you need to make sure that it’s done first before anything else on your mind. Unless it’s a hobby and not your business haha. Because if you are just doing it on the side, other things take priority.
1-Create content/plan content
Being a blogger or YouTuber, content is the first and main priority you should focus on. Well, for many reasons but mostly without content. You can’t do anything. YouTubers doing daily vlogs need to plan content every day and then proceed to the next task which creating it.
Bloggers, we don’t post every day, so it should be easier for us to plan and create content. You don’t need to do it every day, but if you haven’t done it, make sure it’s the first thing to do. Believe it or not, I found about this a little late than I’m supposed to. So Don’t make the same mistake.
2-Marketing plan
The second one is going to be focusing on your marketing plan. If you don’t have one, I highly AND highly recommend you do setting up one. It’s the most important of any online business. And not just blogging. Because without you, progress will not be good.
During the day, make sure you finish the marketing first if you have done the content or have already it. Because as a blogger, don’t need to do content every day. So We already have it but need to skip creating to market it and share it with the world.
3-Being active in the community
Make sure to include in your daily tasks to be active and engage with other bloggers or whoever is in your niche or platform. This is very important because it will help you grow and making friends in the same community will allow you to do collaborations. Awesome to gain more views and subscribers.
Some people focus on work and work and work but never thought of being active in the community. And that’s one of the mistakes I made which made me really regret wasting time working haha. Please, don’t make the same mistake and try to be active and talk to other bloggers. Reply to their tweets, comment on their blog post. Enjoy your time with the community.

Having a plan and prioritizing the day is super important. I also find using a technique called the Porodomo method worth a shot. Its basically where you break down your tasks into 25 minutes bursts, then take a quick 5 minutes break, then go again. The idea is absolute focus – so, no TV, no social media or any distractions in the background.
That’s awesome, great idea. True, no distraction is the best to let you finish them.

I have definitely found it helpful to separate all the tasks I need to do on a daily/weekly basis and try and fit them into my routine as best possible It’s not always easy!

I am now having a hard time putting things in place, especially on days that I have to be at work. I have to write some new posts, edit old posts and I still need to engage. It’s driving me crazy. Sometimes I go for two days without doing anything on my blog because I am stuck.
I know right? it’s a bit overwhelming work but you need a break.
I do try to prioritise my projects where I can. I can often be distracted though which doesn’t help.

Prioritizing our task is the first and foremost thing we should do, this way we will stay informed of what tasks deserve immediate action. Getting ahead in my content writing and promoting my content always comes first. Once I’ve got enough content for the weeks ahead, I then take on my other blogging tasks. Unless there’s something that’s en emergency, which will then be the top priority
