The last day of the week and today I got an excellent DIY project for you guys. It’s been a while since I posted a project this year started haha. So today I’m going to share with you guys a new valentine’s day decoration. This is Valentine’s day DIY wall decoration to make at home.
So if you guys missed my previous post. Where I started talking about this project while talking about a topic related to DIY. Please check it out first because I mentioned the few first steps of this project.
This post will be the few last steps of making this project and the finished version of it. I got to say, it was a fun idea and an unpredictable one that turned into valentine’s day decoration haha.
At first, I just wanted it to be a normal and random idea that we can use. But after a few minutes, it turned out that it can actually be the perfect one for valentine’s day.
I’m still working with cardboard and papers as usual haha. I’m still getting more ideas that can be made out of these two hahaha.
When I have a workshop, things will start to get more serious and more materials, and even better projects.
Valentine’s day DIY wall decoration idea to make at home
There is something that I like about this project which I’m going to mention when the finished look is revealed haha.
So when I decided to make it a valentine’s day DIY wall decoration idea to make at home. I started drawing and getting ideas for the finished project and came up with the next required items.
These will be along with the ones I mentioned in the previous post. Which were rolled papers and cardboard board that will be at the bottom of the project.
Also, this project doesn’t require a lot of items except for one thing. I had to make many of it but still, doesn’t count as many haha. I just repeat the same thing over and over to make more of it.
The required items of Valentine’s day DIY wall decoration to make at home project
So there are few things that I’m going to use on this project which is the main items. In the previous post, I just mentioned the base of the project, but this what will add the style and picture to the decoration.
It’s nothing without love and hearts. So I made a heart out of cardboard because this is strong and thicker than paper.
The cardboard was already white, but we need it to be red to match the valentine’s vibes haha. I know I add the layer to cardboard but this one is different lol.
In the end, it will look like this. I just drew a heart with a pencil on the cardboard and used the scissor to cut the shape. Just in case you wonder how I made it as shown in the picture above.
It was a bit difficult to draw a perfect heart haha. So I had to keep drawing and erasing until I got the one that matches. Sometimes it hit and get it from the first time lol. I had to be careful and make sure that it’s as perfect as possible.
Another one that is commonly used on Valentine’s day is the flowers. However, I’m not sure we can make one like in real life, but I picked the most appropriate one for the project. And it is the sunflower but the color is red haha.
I mean I could do it in yellow which my favorite color. However, I think we need more red for this decoration. So that’s why I picked red. What do you guys think?
I wanted the flowers to be flat as you can see in the picture above because roses in this case will not glue very well. Also, it will not look perfect in my opinion.
3-The paper top
Next is something I came up with the last second haha. A paper board to cover the top of the project.
I thought would be better to cover it. Also, in case I’m going to add more flowers on top or something later, you know.
The picture above is a thick piece of paper with the same measurement as the rolled papers in the project.
Well, the last required item that we will use on this project is the butterflies. And this one was from the start haha. I thought it would be good to not change it. I want to know what you think when you see the final look in a second.
However, I had to make a lot and went from bigger to smaller. I cut a blue square paper with a 7cm measurement. I was worried that I’m going to use a lot of measures, but it was enough with one measurement. Then, went from bigger to smaller size using the 7cm square.
But I cut a lot of papers haha and did the same thing over and over to get a lot of them.
Since this is the last one to show in the required items. I’m going to show you guys the process of making everything together and reveal the final and finished look.
Imagine there is a music on the background as you scroll down haha. Enjoy!
And before we reveal the finished look. Are you guys ready to see how it fully look? Let me know what you guys think.
boom!!!! Here is the finished look of the valentine’s day DIY wall decoration idea to make at home. Well, I kinda made a lot of butterflies because I wanted them to go two different directions hahaha.
But still, this looks good as well. The love is all over with flowers and the butterflies flying away. This was my imagination of this project haha. What do you guys think of this idea?
Also, as you can see the butterflies don’t match with size because as you go up, they get closer and bigger haha. Good imagination lol. It’s not as big as originally wanted it, but that works too, you know.
