Hello everyone, and welcome to my last blog post of this week. I hope you guys had a wonderful and achieved your weekly goals. Well, talking about that, today I would like to talk about something that can help you with your goals and stay well organized. If you haven’t started doing it. You need to check this is why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps.
First, if you are not writing your daily and weekly goals. Then, you are missing out. And you need to start doing it today. Because of this post, I’m going to talk about ways how to write your weekly goals and why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps.
Why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps

Writing goals is one of the common ways to keep track of your goals. And as I said, we need to start doing it asap. However, there are two ways that people like to use and nothing is wrong with that. But, I would like to say that you can get more with one way better than the other way.
And today’s post I would like to talk about why you need to start writing goals using notebooks apps. Well, this doesn’t mean you stop writing in a notebook. Because I’m doing that as well. It’s fun to handwrite goals.
To be honest, I recently started writing in a notebook with my hand and felt better. However, why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps is also can even better. Here I will explain to you why is that good and how it will make it even better.
Ways to write goals
- Using pen and notebook or journal
- Using a notebook or journal apps
You can choose what to write in a notebook and what to write in a notebook app. This way, you stay even more organized doing both. And this is what I’m doing at the moment and it’s helping a lot. Keep reading to know more about how that is possible. I’m sure you guys will like it and some of us might need it.
It’s not just for goals, but also you can write and track your daily tasks. Well, for me, I would prefer to use a notebook app. And the same reason as I will mention to you guys in this post about why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps.
Also, I find more benefits from using a notebook and journal apps than writing them on a notebook using my hand. However, after all, it depends on how you feel more comfortable writing your goals and tasks. Because if you are not enjoying it, then you need to change something.
I started writing goals and notes in journals, but later; I found it easier for me to write on notebook apps. And since then I haven’t used a journal haha. Well, I still have the journal though. This time, I’m going to use them for goals and things that I don’t need to write on the notebook app. And here is why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps.
1-You can edit easily anytime
One thing I love about writing on a notebook app is that I can edit anything whenever I want. And I won’t leave any mess. So easy for me to edit anything I want. And this is something I struggled with when I used a journal. Because the paper would be a mess and can’t write more goals.
Notebook download is easy and you can have a notebook for windows or any device you want. And we will get to this a little later. However, this means you can edit more than in a journal or notebook. Also, there is no excuse for saying that you forgot it at home. You can access it on your phone if not on the laptop or PC.
When I say anytime, this means when you go are out with your friends or doing whatever. You don’t need to keep bringing the journal with you. This is one of the best things I like about having a notebook app. It’s a good reason why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps.
There will be no mess using the notebook app. You can erase, change, edit, on any goal you want, and don’t worry about anything. However, using a journal you need to be careful and use a pencil to be able to erase it. And that would leave a mark on it.
2-Add as many pages as you want
If you are using journals, you know that you need to buy a new journal every time you are done. Because it has limited pages. Well, it might not be a problem, but it can be even better to have unlimited pages and you don’t need to spend any money on it again.
You don’t have to worry about spaces or how many pages are left. Because you can always create a new page and do whatever you want with it. I have been using my notebook app for a long time and haven’t complicated about something like this.
Even though you will be organized, and just use ages you want. This will give you the freedom to use more pages to add more stuff. It could help you with your notes and not just goals. Even tasks if you write them down.
It’s another reason why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps. I’ve been enjoying the notebook app since I started using it. But, I’m starting to use the journal again. Because I need to improve my writing and not just depend on typing.
Anyway, you can tell now why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps. This doesn’t mean you need to stop writing goals in a journal. It’s more like you should give the notebook app a try to see how it can help you. And these are some of the things that can help you.
FYI
Something I like about this is that even with the number of pages we can add. It’s easy for us to refer back to old notes and goals if we want. This will help you if you study or work and want to write notes and goals.
3-There are more things to add and do
This is also one of my favorite things about why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps. Well, not just goals, but everything. It helps me to add pictures or add a list. Whatever I want to add to my goal or my note. I easily can do it with notebook apps or digital journals apps.
There are stickers you can use when writing in a journal. However, it’s limited when it comes to adding more than just one thing. Because you can adjust the font and size. If you want to organize it more, to make it better looking for you.
You can add as many pages as you want that will give you more space to be more creative with the things you can do as well. The big advantage we would want if we ask why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps,
Also, something that helped me a lot is when having different goals. For example, finance goals, fitness goals, and so on. You can’t mix them all in one place. So, one of the reasons why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps is that you can organize all of that.
Sometimes we need to adjust some things. It would be difficult to do that by writing them in a journal. However, using a notebook for windows or any device, it would be much easier for you to edit them and write more if you want.
4-Take it with you anytime and everywhere
I know you can take the journal with you. However, what if you forgot it at home when you went out? And you want to write something in your journal. Waiting until you get back, you will forget. So, the notebook is always with you. Either on the phone, laptop, or even PC. And that’s a good reason why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps
Well, you can write them twice if you want, but I wouldn’t recommend writing the same goals twice. Because of no point in doing that. You can have other goals or notes to put in a notebook and others using the notebook app. This way, you are not doubling and wasting time and energy.
That is one of the reasons why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps. So, if you haven’t tried the notebook app. I suggest you give it a try and see how do you feel about that. I would like to know your experience in this.
Conclusion of why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps
These are my thoughts on using notebook apps and using journals. Even though I like to use them both. One can help you with so much more than you expected. And this is why I decided to share with you why it’s better to write goals on notebook apps. I hope you guys enjoyed reading it and found it helpful.

I use both an app and a planner. Definitely, app has great benefits such as it’s easy to take with you anytime and you can share it with family members too.
That’s awesome! It’s good to use both
I always like to hear different perspective about notepad apps and paperback. I love using paperback to journal, lol. I’ve tried apps, they just never work for me.
It’s important to be able to easily edit goals as things change!

Very interesting! I tend to write long term goals on apps on my phone but if I just have a short to do list I’ll write it out on paper and tick them off so I can be done with it.
That’s a good way to organize it.
These are great insights. I am more of a traditional type who still uses pen and paper but would love to explore this. I agree with you that it’s easier to edit this way. Thank you for sharing this.
Yeah, I like paper and pen. Thank you for reading!
This was a really interesting read! Something about physically writing my goals out on paper always makes me motivated, but I can see the benefits of using apps too – the perfectionist in me likes that it’s nowhere near as messy! Perhaps I’ll start using a combination of the two. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, it’s so much fun writing notes and goals on paper.

I use a digital agenda to keep me organized as you do. I like it being so easy to edit and move things around as I need to. Thanks for sharing Fransic!

That’s awesome, I use it too
Earlier this year so many people were talking about journaling and tracking goals. I spent some time looking for paper journals. I ultimately decided that I prefer my notes app on my phone. As you said, it is so much easier to edit. In addition, I always have with me for quick updates.
Yeah, it’s a good decision. Thank you for sharing!
I write my goals on my iPhone notes as I find it much easier to write on than pen to paper. I love that the iPhone notes now have a lock on them so no one can see your notes! Thank you so much for sharing this post with us Xo

Thanks so much for sharing all these notes app, I’m checking out to opt for one in my phone as backup as I’m still carrying my small physical notebook in my bag for notes taking 🙂 cheers Siennylovesdrawing

Great perspective. I use both as well. I have a notebook for lengthy notes but for just quick on the go thoughts I use the apps.
That’s awesome, thank you for commenting!
Apps are so great but when it comes to goals I need to actually write them down so I can see them all the time. I do use notebook apps for lots of other things though.
Yeah, they are great. Thank you for commenting!
I have never read about the free addition of pages if needed, I always heard the keeping it to a minimum approach. It s very curious to me, I will make sure to try it
Ok, well, you can have it using apps.
I love using apps when writing y goals. Because I can access the, anywhere anytime.
That’s awesome, thank you for reading!
Even though it’s better, but it’s not always possible to write on apps since it’s really time consuming
Well, it depends if you stick to one way or use different ways to help you with time consuming.
Those are some great tips and will keep them in mind. I am using a journal at the moment for all my notes and goals but it sounds like a nice idea to have an app as well.
Yeah, it’s good and I’m doing both.

I’m glad you find it helpful! Thank you for reading!
I have been doing this for years and I must say that it really helps me keep my goals on track.
Thanks for this information
That’s awesome, it’s a good idea!
I have started using an app before called “Daily Journal”. It was really helpful and accessible because once you get a free time, such as when you are on a public transpo, waiting on a queue or just on a break, you can jot down all your thoughts for the day.
That’s awesome! It’s a cool way. Thank you for reading!
What notebook apps do you recommend? I just use the memo pad on iPhone, but I am open to new apps to be inspired.
Sometimes I use my iPhone note app or Notion to write everything!
I never thought of using an app to record my goals since I write them on paper. But you raised some valid points especially with amending and adding goals. Using pen and paper can result in some mess. Thanks for the tips!
Well, that was me too before I find this app. Thank you for sharing!
